This was not good.
It was even worse considering Atticus hadn't slept well in quite awhile, and everything was usually worse when one didn't get enough sleep, but either way, a creature had escaped the holding room and THAT was not good no matter how much sleep anyone got.
Atticus hurried over into the work area of his department, casting a glance around the room for the lost creature. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, and he was certain it would be plainly obvious if the little Granian was out here. And the employees that were there didn't seem to have noticed anything... No harm in asking though and making sure they were aware of the situation. "Has anyone seen a creature out-"
He was cut off by a door opening and another loud voice speaking. A voice that belonged to someone from the Environmental Department - and a voice that had found the Pygmy Granian. Atticus wasn't sure whether to be relieved that the creature hadn't escaped into the rest of the Ministry or worried that she had actually wandered into another department.
"I'm coming," he said, hurrying over to the man. Turning his head back to where his employees were, he added, "And anyone who wishes to help can and should follow." They could use all the help they could get. But then, before he stepped through to the other department, he thought of something and turned back to the work area once more. "If two of you could go into the Creature Holding Room and get a few snacks from the supply room there, we could probably use them to aid us in catching the Pygmy Granian." Then he turned and entered the Environmental Department area.
