Dalliesa | Ab-Bot | Hogwarts Trojan War |

Everybody went down the central zone to help clean the carnival up or rebuild what was ruined by people swarming out of the tent so chaotically the day before.
Bren and Roly were working on the Ferris Wheel's carriages, fixing the hinges that got stuck in one direction. People were murmuring spells and others just non-verbally casted their magic. But everyone held a wand in their hands. Everyone except a girl; Odharnait. Bren saw her struggling to lift two buckets of garbage across the carnival ground. At first, he let it go and worked on his own mission but when she was working on the range shooting cabin and had to remove a broken log from the ceiling, she started jumping to reach it. That was it for Bren's curiosity. He left his place and headed over to her, using the levitation charm would be incredibly helpful instead of her stalling for time.
"Wingardium Leviosa," he said calmly and brought the big log down to the ground. Nait turned around and saw him, she was wearing a jumper over a pair of jeans - looking like a regular girl, for once. Well, she did look fine until the scary piercing look invaded her face, "Who the hell asked your help?!" She snapped at him.
Bren expected a thank you or an explanation of why she hadn't thought of using her wand. "I see someone who needs it and I don't wait for begging," he smirked, unabashed by her looks. Something flared in her dark eyes, Bren thought he saw something but the next thing he knew, he got punched - not a powerful punch, but as strong as a slim girl could do.
"OW!" He exclaimed, his hand flying toward the chin.
"If you EVER help me again, you're dead!" She bellowed.
People were starting to gather around. Bren's insides lurched and without thinking he shoved her away, a bit too strongly for a girl. Nait lost her balance and fell on the log, shrieking out. He gasped along with the crowd but before he went down and helped her, someone apparated nearby.
"FREEZE!" A man barked.
Bren looked around and groaned, it was an Auror who patrolled the central zone all the time looking for trouble. The man was tall, broad shouldered and his dark skin was shiny. His eyes were warm and nice but the way his voice had bellowed, Bren could tell he wasn't happy.
"What's going on here?" He stared at the boy, Nait stumbled to her feet.
"Nothing big," Bren tried to draw a smile.
"He pushed me to the ground," Nait said sharply surprising him. Shouldn't they be on the same page instead of get penalty? The man, whose name was Mr. Ash, glared at Bren, "Is that true?"
Bren shot a look at Nait before shaking his head, "No, I did not push her deliberately. She punched me and yanked my shirt, I was defending myself."
"Only because you get in my way every time I'm doing something!" She shouted.
Bren faced her, defiantly, "I was trying to help."
"I didn't ask for it!"
"You were trying to reach for a huge log, why didn't you use your wand instead of risking it to fall on your big head?!"
"That. Is. Not. Your. Business."
"Enough!" Mr. Ash got between the two and only then had Bren noticed how close his face was to hers. He would've felt embarrassed if she showed any sign of girly embarrassment herself. "You two are to be taken to the Penalties station with me. Come." He stretched his arms at them. Bren grunted, threw his arms in the air frustrated and grabbed the man's elbow. Nait coldly did that too.
They disapparated.
The next scene Bren's eyes acknowledge was the station office which resembled a regular office very much. Mr. Ash walked toward a door to the side of the office and opened it. "Get in you two." He ordered neutrally. Nait crossed her arms and started toward the door, Bren grumpily getting in behind her. They walked through a small corridor to a big metal door that opened on its own accord and then they were in the cells section. Both of them stared shockingly.
"You're going to lock us in because we had a fight?" Nait said loudly rounding on her heels. Mr. Ash stood at the metal door right behind them. He waved his wand and one of the cells opened.
"Get in without another word. Both of you," he ignored the girl's icy glare.
Bren shook his head, "No. I'm not getting into jail just because I shoved someone." Mr. Ash waved his wand again and they were thrown inside, landing on their butts as the cell closed again.
"GET ME OUT!" Nait screamed frantically, jumping to hold the bars and shaking them. Mr. Ash turned to leave but paused, "I'll call your fathers. Meanwhile, make up." He was gone. Nait continued shaking the bars, screaming and grunting.
Bren just sat on the ground watching her fuss. "Calm down, girl. You're going to give yourself a heart attack," he said when she paused for breath. Nait rounded to look at him, her face was flushed. "What do you suggest, smart guy? Sit around and let him arrest us for nothing?"
Bren rolled his eyes, "He didn't arrest us. He's just trying to force us into manners. He's calling our dads right now." Nait seemed to think that over and slowly she moved to sit by the metal bars, her back to the wall.
They didn't talk for fifteen minutes and nobody showed up. Bren saw Nait removing her jumper and examining her back with her hands, wincing as she did so. He couldn't help the guilty feeling banging in his chest. "I'm sorry," his mouth moved quickly. She froze, eyed him and then sat back down turning her head away without a word. Bren sighed again, impatiently this time. This girl was a very complicated and agitated person, he did not want to have anything to do with her anymore - that intriguing feeling he had few days ago was totally gone, he just wanted to leave her rot in her own spite.
"Why didn't you use your wand now, then?" He spoke again after another fifteen minutes, boredom was the motivation this time. She had a confused look on her face for two seconds before getting what he meant, "W-why would I use it?"
Bren shrugged, "You want to get out of here so desperately. You can use your wand to get out," his head leaned backward on the wall.
"Why don't you use it?" She countered.
"I don't want to leave as desperately," he smirked. Nait seemed unsettled for once and she quickly averted her gaze to the metal door that brought them in this section.
An hour had passed, the girl's head leaned on the metal bars, Bren felt his whole body stiffen from the floor. He was bored to death. Getting up, he used Alohomora to open the cell door. Nait jumped to her feet, grabbed her jumper and walked out with Bren on her heels. The minute they touched the metal door, Mr. Ash apparated behind them and grabbed their shirts. "Whaoo.. where do you think you're going?" He looked tired, and slightly surprised.
Bren shook the man's hand away, "We're getting out of here. You lied to us." Nait nodded in agreement. Mr. Ash opened his mouth to say something but closed it and without warning they were disapparating.
The next second, Nait and Bren stood on the road connecting their houses. In the middle distance where you saw the Treacy's mansion and the Harman's. Mr. Ash let go of them and spoke gravelly, "You two should learn to solve your problems more civilly, I don't have time to deal with two bratty teens when I'm following an important case that the ministry refuses to back me up with it." He moved his scolding eyes from Bren to Nait, "And I did not lie. I forgot about your fathers...something got in my way." He sighed, "Now, get going." Then he disapparated.
"That was...not weird at all." Bren muttered. Nait shrugged and started toward her mansion. He watched her go for a few seconds before turning to go to his own house but she called out to him, "Bren!" He waited, "Don't help me unless I ask you to...please," her voice was not as sharp and piercing as usual, she sounded sincere and... pleading. He stared at her pale face that went so well with her blonde messy hair. If it wasn't for her dark eyes, he would've thought of her as a breathtaking girl - that being the case, she was moderately good-looking. The seventeen years old had no idea why those thoughts came to him and when he blinked, Nait was meters away.
