59 – Ignore

Reid was good at pretending, it sort of came with the job description. He was good at pretending that he was happy, that he was someone else, that he loved his life. He was also good at pretending that nothing was wrong with him health wise.

So good was he at pretending the last that he easily ignored his doctor’s warnings about the Pulmonary Embolism and how it could kill him.

Reid continued to ignore his illness, telling no-one about it until he collapsed to the floor during an argument.

He’d been breaking Rachel’s heart, while his own stopped beating.
