81 - Depression

Reid hated history, at least modern history. Ancient History was the bees-knees. This stuff, not so much…

There was no glory in learning about how many people lost their lives or livelihoods during the Great Depression following the stock market crash of 1929. It was just…well… depressing.

Did they really need to know how badly a stock market crash could affect them all? Most of them weren’t even investing, and most of their parents only had small portions of their money in stocks.

When the bell rang all Reid could do was thank Merlin that the Great Depression was over.
