It was clear Potter’s brain came from his moronic father. That was the ridiculous sort of answer he would have given, thinking himself so impressive because of his smart aleck reply. Only Severus saw him for what he was.
“Yes, it is easy to see that nearly six years of magical education have not been wasted on you, Potter. ‘Ghosts are transparent.’”
Snape sneered at the glare he received.
