If you wanted to know the story behind the names I've used, here's my list:

Professor Deryn- Named after Deryn Sharp from Leviathan by Scott Westerfeld. It's an awesome read.
Alan Carter- Combination of Alan Rickman (Snape) and Helena Bonham Carter (the wicked actress who played Bellatrix!)
Helena Radcliffe- You can see I used Daniel Radcliffe's name, and once again, Helena Bonham Carter.
P.S. I named her daughter after Emma Watson
