William was outside enjoying the fresh air once again. He took the egg he had named Mischievous out of his pocket and was shocked to see how cold the egg was to his touch. It was practically freezing, so cold that he could barely hold on to it, which was kind of strange because the temperature was fairly mild today. William was afraid that the egg must have gotten chilled from the other night when he was down by the swimming pool, so he was going to have to warm it up.

William grabbed his wand out of his other pocket and pointed it at the egg. He swished the wand in the air and said the words "Argentum Calidus" as he tapped the egg lightly. To his surprise, he found that the egg was still not as warm as it was supposed to be.

William decided that he should probably repeat the spell one more time. "Argentum Calidus!" he said excitedly, repeating the swish and tap motion. He would be very upset if something bad happened to his egg.

To his relief, when he reached to touch Mischievous he saw that the temperature had risen back to the level which it was supposed to be.

William saw the egg try to skip away from him, but quickly reached out and grabbed Mischievous before anything else could happen. This had been a scary day but everything seemed to be okay now and he wasn't going to take any more chances.
