Ellie laughed and covered her eyes as she tried to hide from Alex's little puppy-dog-eyes. You never knew what people did when you weren't looking. Which actually gave him an idea. Suddenly he got all nervous, but a part of him screamed at him to do something before it was too late. Before the term ended, before someone else did. That thought terrified him and before he knew it he was kissing her.

Alex Reed had actually done the one thing he had wanted to do the whole year. He’d kissed her. He kissed the girl. The Girl. His Ellie.
