The ideal Alex

”Sad?” the guys repeated before they laughed. “I don’t think Alex knows the meaning of the word.” They snickered one night in the Boys’ Dorms.

Alex grinned and agreed with a shrug. “What can I say, I’m a happy person.” He chuckled.

They threw him a dictionary to make him look up the word and he watched them silently as they turned their backs at him. Glancing down at the book he lost his grin when the others couldn’t see him. He knew very well what sad meant, too well the question was; how well did they really know him?
