“Father told me it is the best there is,” Draco explained showing off yet another expensive gift he had received from his father. “Don’t suppose you have ever seen one of these, let alone touched it.”
Hermione shot a warning look at Ron who looked like he was just about ready to have steam come out his ears. “Just let it go,” she whispered pushing the ginger back a bit.
“What’s that, Granger? Trying to get Weasley out of the way so you can have me all to yourself? I’ll save you the trouble and just tell you no right now,” Draco smirked glancing over his shoulder at his friends.
“No to what exactly,” she snapped with her fists clenched together. She had done it once and she wasn’t afraid to punch him square in the nose again should the need arise.
“To make you my girlfriend,” Draco mocked.
“Go toot your horn somewhere else,” Ron growled at Draco grabbing Hermione by the shoulder. Hermione glanced at Ron and a grin tickled the edges of her lips. With a quick flick of her wand, Hermione cast a nonverbal hex towards Draco who now looked like he had swallowed a toucan.
