As Rowena walked around her classroom observing the students as they took the written part of their Arithmancy exam, she couldn’t help but be amazed at how quickly time was going by. Already two months into their first term and things were going almost perfectly. Almost.
Her head snapped around when she saw a Ravenclaw girl licking her quill. “Miss Reaney, what in Merlin’s beard are you doing? Your quill is for writing purposes only!”
“Professor Ravenclaw!” she squeaed. “It’s a spell. I-I transfigured it into spun-sugar…”
“I’ll be taking that,” Rowena said. Ingenious. Why hadn’t she thought of it?
