Kurumi sat by the edge of the lake with a rather large book sitting on her lap that she had borrowed from Professor Truebridge. Sitting next to her enjoying the sunlight was Walnut, who was a little preoccupied with trying to catch a bug with his paws.

A small green snake slithered by, and Kurumi smiled down at it as it continued on its way past the cat. Walnut hissed at the snake and whacked with his paw. The snake responded by biting Walnut on his paw before slithering away.

“You need to work on your communication skills,” Kurumi laughed.
