■■ 42 Silencio “Then my Won-Won said the most adorable thing,” Lavender squealed squeezing a pillow tightly to her chest and her face flushing like a ripe tomato. “He said that I was giving him chapped lips!”
Parvati squealed nearly as loudly as Lavender and hit her roommate with a pillow. “You two are so adorable together,” she sighed leaning her head on her hand as she sat crossed legged on Lavender’s bed.
Hermione, who was trying her best to ignore their conversation, was also turning the color of a tomato, but for very different reasons. Hearing Lavender go on and on about Ron was torture and things were only made worse by that hideous nickname the girl had given him that sounded more like a Chinese soup than an actual name.
“Won-Won and I are like stars and constellations,” she said dreamily. “We just can’t live without the other! And he is such an amazing snogger!”
Hermione had had it. Whipping her wand out from her robe’s pocket, she pointed at her roommates. “Silencio!” she whispered.
The two girls tried to squeal, but nothing came out. Hermione grinned and returned to her book.
Finally, some peace and quiet.
