Draco always knew that his parents owned a Thestral. Come on, the Malfoys owned anything that was remotely cool. But he could never see it, because he had never witnessed death.

In his seventh year, Draco spent his time at home. Mostly terrified, and mostly alone. And one day, he found himself in his huge garden, just to breathe in the air.

He heard a very strange noise, and once he turned around, he saw it. It was a Thestral. Because he had seen a picture of one before. But how could he possibly see it now?
