haha thnks for the comment Claire. I'm sorry but I can't make any promises. Anyway:
Next Post! Enjoy.

Ellouise let him kiss her, his soft lips gliding over hers smoothly, leaving a tingling sensation in its wake. But eventually Ellouise pulled away, a hand outstretched in front of her, gently pushing Charlie back.
“I’m sorry Charlie, you’re a really nice guy. And I really enjoyed today, but now’s not the right time, and I’m not sure that you’re the right guy”. Ellouise felt a pang of guilt as she saw the look on his face.
“Unlucky bro”, called out the twins in unison.
Ellouise and Charlie both turned to the doorway by the stairs that led to the kitchen. The twins stood there grinning, Percy looked shocked- his chin dropped to his chest, Carlisle looked slightly taken aback whilst also looking disapprovingly at the twins. Xavier just stood there leaning against the door frame, his arms crossed and his eyes on Ellouise.
“I’m sorry...” Ellouise whispered to Charlie before she turned on her heel and left the room.

Ellouise trudged up the stairs, weighed down with the guilt she felt for hurting Charlie in front of the other guys. She began thinking back to all the moments she shared with Charlie and hoped to herself that she hadn’t led him on or given him the wrong impressions. Looking back she realised that the signs were all there... that he liked her but not that she’d led him on, this eased her nerves somewhat. Perhaps if she had taken more notice of his actions this could have been prevented. Ellouise reached her bedroom, turning the brass handle she let herself in, and shut the door immediately behind her as she heard footsteps echoing up the stairs. Images of Charlie flashed in her mind, those moments, the sincerity... he wasn’t a bad kisser, and he was a really nice guy. But never the less she knew he wasn’t the one for her. After dressing Ellouise hopped into bed and drew the covers around her. Tomorrow was going to be a very awkward day, one she wasn’t looking forward to. Just as Ellouise was about to fall asleep there was a light knocking on her door. She didn’t reply, it would be easier if whoever it was thought she was asleep. But they knocked again, only louder this time.
“Ellie, I know you’re awake, let me in”, came Xavier’s voice, soft and understanding.
Ellouise flung her feet over the edge of the bed and went to open the door. She opened it just a fraction and could see Xavier standing there, he held something behind his back.
“Can I come in?” he asked peering at her through the crack.
“Now? Why?” she asked irritably, not really in the mood for company.
Xavier smiled and held up a packet of Bertie Botts Every-Flavour Beans. Ellouise opened the door and he entered, pushing the door closed behind him. Ellouise sat on the bed cross legged, patting the mattress beside her.
“Ladies first”, said Xavier as he offered her a bean. Elloise peered into the box, there were so many colours to choose from, and it was a decision not to be taken lightly. After pondering over the selection for a moment she chose a white bean that was flecked with yellow. S he popped it into her mouth carefully and chewed.
“Mmm not bad, buttered toast”, she said as she waited for Xavier to select a bean.
He took out an odd looking green one and popped it in his mouth.
“Gherkin”, he laughed.
This continued for some time, just like when they were children. They sat in silence, both of them resting against the bed-head with the box of Bertie Botts in between them.
“You alright?” asked Xavier after a while.
“I’m alright”, replied Ellouise almost immediately, Xavier didn’t believe her.
Xavier took another been, a mottled looking grey one.
“Oh your favourite!” he exclaimed. Ellouise looked at him sceptically, “I doubt that tastes anything like cherry”, she said raising an eyebrow.
“Pepper”, said Xavier playfully offering her another bean.
Ellouise sighed, “Never lost your sense of humour did you.” Xavier just shook his head.
“Ellie, what’s the matter?” he asked more forcefully this time. His grey eyes penetrating hers in an instance, but she couldn’t look away.
“Everything”, she replied.
Xavier considered this for a minute before responding, “I’m sure you don’t mean it quite that literally.” Ellouise couldn’t help but smile and poked him in the ribs with a finger.
“No... it’s just... I want my parents back”, she said as she dropped her gaze, “And now with Charlie... I didn’t mean to hurt him... it’s just...”
“Not the right time”, finished Xavier.
Ellouise looked up and stared into his deep grey eyes again. Surely he knew that wasn’t the only reason... that it wasn’t really the reason at all. If only he knew she thought, if only she had the courage to tell him, to hold him, to kiss him... to just be with him. They were still staring into each others eyes, neither of them spoke, neither of them moved and then Xavier broke the silence.
“He’ll be fine, don’t worry about him”, he said, “And as for your parents, they’re strong, they’re fighters and I’m sure they’ll be ok.” He could tell she didn’t believe him.
“What did you want to do about it?” he asked, his brows furrowed.
“I don’t know... all I know is I can’t sit here waiting for something to happen.”
Xavier nodded his understanding. “Well whatever you decide to do, I’m doing it with you.”
“No you’re not”, replied Ellouise, her eyes wide open with something that resembled fear.
“Well, actually... yes I am. And there’s nothing you can do to stop me Ellie. I’m not going to let you do anything dangerous and reckless on your own... ever.” His words came out strong and definite, nothing was going to change his mind.
“I don’t want you to get hurt because of me”, whispered Ellouise, she dropped her gaze.
“Ellie, if anything would happen to you again, and I wasn’t there... it would... it would kill me”. He said. Ellouise met his eyes, his face was soft and almost sad in that moment. She wanted so badly to just force herself into his arms and hold him, she wanted it, but didn’t move.
“You’re being melodramatic”, she said hastily, her voice becoming hoarse as she tried to ignore her feelings for him, every fibre in her body urging her to get closer to him, to feel his skin on hers, to feel his lips on hers.
“Losing my mum was one the hardest things I’ve had to deal with since this war broke out”, whispered Xavier, “I don’t want to go through that again”, he continued.
“I already had to deal with the prospect of losing you once, and I promised myself that I would never let anything like that happen to you again. Now I understand that you need to do something. You’ve always been pushy. But now it’s my turn to be pushy, and whatever your plan is I’m going to do it with you.”
