Thnks Ruby! I realise I left you in suspence. I hope you enjoy the next post. It's a short one, but I promise the next one will be longer.
Ellouise landed with a thud against the coat hanger in the hallway. After steadying herself as best she could Ellouise looked around at her surroundings, her sight was blurred slightly but she could still make out the familiar dark dusty hallway, its dark shapes around the edges, this soothed her nerves. Inhaling painfully Ellouise peered down, her hands shaking, she clutched at her right side, it felt warm and damp, no... not damp, it felt wet and sticky. Ellouise held up her hand to her face, it was covered in blood. She was bleeding, and heavily. Slowly she placed one foot in front of the other and exited the hallway, taking a right hand turn into the green drawing room. There she stopped and looked up her bloodied hand clutching at her side. Anton stood in the middle of the room, held at the scruff of his shirt by Xavier with Remus bearing down on him, his wand drawn. Naomi stood behind him, hands clasped to her mouth in shock. Ellouise moved forward slightly, away from the shadows. Ellouise felt her wand drop out of her other hand. Everyone looked up, their eyes travelling up her body, pausing briefly at her hand that clung to her side. It all happened in slow motion, there was a silent hum in her ear, drowning out the words Naomi spoke, and the words Xavier looked to be yelling. Harry who was seated on the couch next to Lily had tears running down his cheeks. The room became blurry again, she couldn’t focus, the shapes in front of her moved slowly, she closed her eyes, the light danced shadows across her lids. Ellouise could feel herself falling as her knees gave way, it seemed to be a long fall, she was waiting and waiting, expecting to feel the hardwood floor beneath her, still she waited and then there it was. Its surface was smooth and cool, almost like ice, she welcomed its embrace. The shadows continued to swirl around her, she couldn’t open her eyes, her lids stayed glued down. Noises stirred around her, it was muffled it could have been yelling, she thought she heard her name. Ellouise tried to respond, tried to reassure everyone she was ok, but the words never escaped her lips. She was in sudden darkness.
